![]() ![]() In March, we had a 2 day outage while we were visiting family out of state. 1) Truck needs to be charged, and 2) Truck has to be in garage plugged in. The whole house powering by the Lightning has two major flaws. Instead, prior to deciding to buy the Lightning, we put in a whole house generator in September, after 6 outages in a year. And of course for the whole house powering, it's very, very expensive. If I used that I would have to 160amps dedicated to EVs, instead of 60. ![]() Yes, I will get the Pro Charger from Sunrun shipped to me soon. I do need to redo the front tire stop for the new truck, doing that today. I wrapped the cord in foam so it wouldn't rub against box, which it now doesn't touch. The Mach-E charger cord runs along the ground, then out to the Mach-E. I bought the 2nd charger for convenience, and the cost was a joke. When the Mach-E was done, it ramped the truck up to 47 or so amps. With 48 and 32, it charged at 29 and 18.6 or so. I set the Lightning for 48 and the Mach-E for 32, because of the battery size and consumption difference. If you pick 48amps for each, and both need a charge, it will do 24 and 24. You set the max amperage for each charger, and then it balances the load. If anyone else goes to do this, reach out for pointers. Their support was less than knowledgeable about it. They did that on Wednesday, found out Thursday. Went to setup load sharing, and found out that they had to move us back to the old app (YEAH!). Bought a second JuiceBox 48, installed it Tuesday. ![]()
